This weekend, Johnny and I went to an estate sale, here are a few of my finds:

This Cute cow is a pitcher


a sweet little yellow pitcher


a picture ornament and a small trinket box

Not to mention "more" CapeCod" dishes to add to my collection. - Dinner plate, heart box, serving bowl, dessert bowls, a salt shaker (no pepper shaker there!) and a beautiful flower vase.

No - I did not get more birds, this pair of parakeets are at the Nursing Home in Cuero where Dad stays / lives. Joseph pointed them out to me and so I had to get my camera.

Here are the flowers that John Thomas brought to me for Valentines Day. It has been eleven (11) days and they are still so beautiful. So many people come in to my office and they all say how gorgeous they are. I also wanted to post another picture of My Valentines project. I just love to make arts and crafts. I can't wait for our "workshop" is built, so I will be able to have all of my craft supplies, etc. at hand "when the mood strikes me"!

I've got 9 days until my surgery and I am getting just a little bit nervous. Oh well, all of this needs to be corrected.

2010-Sept.10 Happy Anniversary Babe

2010-Sept.01 The "Pole" That Jacquelyn Built

Why did I think of the title for this? Because, Jacquelyn brought me the blue and pink flowers. Then she also brought me the 3 dragonflies (a pink, a green, and a blue one). So I was thinking . . where to put them, then one evening I saw the perfect spot. Our floor lamp! yes, a perfect home for my treasures. I wrapped the flowers around the pole and then placed the dragonflies through the stems. And voila! The perfect place. I really lke my decorations.

2010-May 21 I Caught Him!

I was a little late for work this Friday morning. Driving toward 447 on the "Lower Road". All of a sudden, this animal runs across the road in front of me. Oh my, it's a bird - well, it's a turkey! I realized that my camera was on the seat next to me, so I slowed to a stop, put my vehicle in reverse (after checking if there was any traffic of course!). The turkey was startled with the SUV slowing - then stopping. He was trying desperately to get under the fence. That wasn't working so he flew over the barb wire fence. Every time I had my camera focused on him, he moved off farther and farther. My shots are a little blurred. But I Caught Him! Sneaky little critter.

Below is a stunning arrangement that John Thomas did out at the front gate. It's hard to keep them growing because there is no water out there. We haven't gotten that far. But that is one of our "many" goals. So far John has been carrying water out to the front. But not me! I had told him to wait, but he chose not to. Keep carrying water John. And Thank You - they're beautiful.
