2010-Jul.02 Pickin' and a Grinnin'

This is some fruit from our own trees - peaches - yum! yum! Joseph picked 'em and I was grinnin' while we each got to eat one. They weren't that big, but they were juicy! Can't wait for more.

This picture is because of a "running" joke at work. We were talking about spices and Nikole said that she likes "Tony Sheshari". I continued talking about . . . . what!? WHAT did you say? Tony Sheshari?? what is that? Are you making some name up? Nikole insisted that it was a real name. I continued to tease her for days. "You made that up, didn't you?"

I even came in to work one morning and a picture of this spice is taped up on my calculator, doors, my cabinet. You are too funny, Nikole. But I still think you just made this up.

Now a month or so later and OMG! I was putting up spices, Salt N Pepper, and of course, had to move some things around, when all of a sudden, OMG, what is this? Oh No, Now I have to tell Nikole that I have this spice in my cabinet and didn't even realize it.

YEAH! Our fruit trees are blooming. I'm so excited. Oh, I hope this continues. Cross your fingers, because my fingers are not GREEN and neither is my THUMB.

Oh My! I can't believe it. Our fruit trees are flowering. I am so excited about this. I hope we can keep them going. Maybe next year we will have some fruit.

2010-Feb.20 Saturday Shopping

Wow! when we started out this morning, we were going to eat breakfast at Las Palmas and then we were going to go to Hallettsville. Well, we kinda took a detour.

First, we didn't even get to breakfast when we saw a guy on the side of the road selling fruit trees. He had an "orange/pineapple" fruit tree that we were intrigued with. It is an orange that will taste like a pineapple. We'll see!! So we loaded that in the truck. This makes #5 fruit tree - for my fruit orchard. Well, it's a start anyway.

Second, we ate at Las Palmas of course. They were so busy and it was so good.

Third, driving by "The Homestead", we decided to take a quick peek! Instead, we shopped, but not naked-hehe!! We bought this cabinet there to put in our bathroom for some much needed storage. Johnny had to "tweek" it a little.


Fourth, we went to Academy-Joseph needed baseball cleats for practice that's starting on Monday. And I "needed" black shoes. I have really fallen for Academy's shoes. And of course, I needed a shirt to wear to a party for next weekend. Oh, and we needed corn for the deer - so load up delivery guy, but don't scratch my cabinet.

We didn't make it to Hallettsville though. I had a small nap before we went to LuRaq's Restaurant in the evening. Wade Stockton and the Llamas Pinatas were playing. Mary & Marshall were there and we met Alta (Johnny's Mother) there too. We had a great time. Thanks for the great music to Wade and his other great band members.
