2009-Sept.12 A Yucky, Icky, Slithery Thing

We were leaving the house and Johnny stopped in the middle of the driveway. What's wrong now!? OMG, this slithery thing crawling across the road in front of us. How does he see these things? Johnny hit it with a stick and I told him to hit it again. No he said its dead. Whatever! then why is it crawling away now? Now he is walking through the woods by our drive looking for this yuky thing. Just because he wouldn't give it another whack! Like I said..
I think the saying goes, "Red and Black, Friend of Jack. Red and Yellow, Kill a Fellow". Well, this is NO friend.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!

It has been 32 years since Johnny & I started our life together. It has been a wonderful life, exciting life, sad at times, difficult at other times.
BUT, as Johnny told some friends last Friday night at Schroeder Dance Hall, "I don't think I would do it again..... But I'd do it again with her," as Wade Stockton announced that it was our anniversary to the crowd in the Schroeder Saloon.
I was so taken by surprise and I looked at him and just put my hands on both sides of his face and gave him a big ole' kiss. I think that was the best thing he could ever say to me.
I have been telling everyone that comes into my office and says, "WOW, where did this huge plant come from?"

"From Johnny for our 32nd wedding anniversary." And then I proceed to tell the story again. I just think that is one of the nicest things Johnny has said to me. The plant is a croton and I will plant it outside at the house this weekend. And pray I don't kill it. I do not have a green thumb.
WHO WANTS TO PLANT THIS FOR ME?? any takers!?!?!

2009-Sept.06 A Sunday Drive & A Harley Accident

Well, we have a 3-day weekend - yeah! I was starting to arrange some boxes that are needing great attention. You know, things I need to organize, throw out, give to children. But then, I stepped back into a sharp object and cut the back of my foot-right above my tennis shoe. I freaked out at the blood, woke Johnny up from "his" nap so that he could doctor it up. Man-it burned. It was sore. But I'm okay.

Johnny has been trying to fix the HEATER, of all things, in my SUV. It hasn't worked for about 4 years now. He thinks it's a part that is not opening properly.

Not much else going on. Just trying to scan some old photos.

And now, also trying to think about the holidays coming up. Sooner than later.

Mmmmm, I - I mean, WE need to sit down and figure out what we're going to spend on everyone this year. This year there will be 4 Grands - increasing by 1 more Grand. And we have Steps too.
Oh, how could I forget this one. . . .Johnny was riding his Harley (and Joseph was with him too) They were over by Schroeder Dance Hall and he said all of a sudden something hit him - Right Between The Eyes! OMG! He said there was no car that drove by or anything, so we think it was a bug, must have been an awful big bug, right!?! Luckily, he kept it together and was able to pull over to the shoulder to stop. A neighbor drove by -going to the races - offered to bring Johnny home - he said he was able to drive himself, and then they took Joseph to the races with them. Johnny called me to come get him, but then he decided to drive home. By the time he got home blood was running down this face. He so darn lucky that whatever it was, it didn't hit him in the eyes.
