2011-Apr.22 Fill-In Blogger Today
Today my Grandson, Joseph, is here to tell a little story about what happened to him today.
Joseph is my "Fill-In" Blogger today. Thank you for being here Joseph. So. . . . . take it away.
Well, I was walking around our property today and I kept hearing what I thought was some frogs. I went down to the lake. There was a big frog. As I went to grab it to pick it up, a grass snake came out of no where and snatched that frog right in front of me. Oh man, that frog didn't know what happened either. And it was a big frog for that skinny snake. That snake wasn't wasting any time slithering away, but I went after it. I knew it was a grass snake, harmless, so I grabbed him. It let go of that frog and the frog hopped away really fast. I had that snake in my hand and went up to the house to show Nana. I know she doesn't like snakes, but I wanted to show her that a grass snake won't hurt you. I was knocking on the front door, Nana would not unlock that door, because she saw what I had in my hand. Finally, she opened it and took a picture. Then she told me to take that snake down by the water and let it go. Man, that snake stunk too. Pee-whew!!

2011-Apr.22 Happy. . . . . . Gnomes
You think I should have said Happy Easter in my title. Well, yes of course,
HAPPY BLESSED EASTER
But a while back, I saw pictures of two (2) of the cutest little girls that painted their own Gnomes. They had gone to a "Gnomeo and Juliet" birthday party. (I think!) Their Mom put their beautiful painted Gnomes on her kitchen window sill.
Well, I do have to say, I was not so creative as to paint my own. I saw some at the store and thought of Carissa and Carlie, and just had to get them. I even put them on my kitchen window sill. And now, when I am at my kitchen sink, I see these Gnomes and think of Carissa and Carlie (and their Mom and Dad too!)
The silver looking plant stick in the picture on the left, was not given to me, I gave that one to MY MOM! It was so long ago though. And I see that too when I see those gnomes and also think of MY MOM.

2010-Apr.17 Scraping Ground/Laying Sand
Ok, here we go, the next step, scraping the grass away, leveling and laying the sand for the next step towards our workshop.
And yes, the contractor came out today - Sunday. He made quick work of it.
