We met Uncle Bryan, Aunt Krystyn & Jackson there. Then after a little while, Jackson had to go home because IT WAS LOUD, LOUD, LOUD. But fun, fun, fun!

Monster Truck & Driver
There were huge monster trucks, 4-wheel drive trucks, 2-wheel drive trucks, 4-wheelers. Some of those trucks that went through the mud pit looked pretty new. Are those guys crazy or what?!?

Joseph,

is right above the "P" in Raptor, behind the front passenger seat.

Joseph was so excited to get to ride in the "Raptor". They drove him around the arena twice. Uncle Bryan took him down to the pit area and waited with him until he got on.
AHHHH! the ride is over, but Joseph was all smiles after he got out of that huge truck. And Uncle Bryan was there when he stepped down off those steps from that Monster Truck.

Arizona Transplants Come to Texas for a Visit

I am, well I should say, WE all were so happy that Jason, Caryn, and Morgan came to Texas for a visit this December, 2008. They drove all the way from Phoenix, Arizona. Visits go by way too fast, Don't they!? Before you know it, it's time to go back home, and get back to our every day lives. Frances invited everyone out to the house on New Years Day to visit. Eric & Natalie made spaghetti, Frances made a few of her great dishes too!! And oh my, I can't forget that special bottle of Rum that Jason made. It was great. Thanks Jason!! for giving us a bottle too. But how long does just 1 last??? Remember us the next time you make it again.
Joseph had a great time playing with Morgan too! They got along pretty good for not seeing each other for quite a few years. They got re-acquainted pretty fast. Fast enough to share their Christmas loot with each other.

My Dad

This picture was taken back in July, the 27th in 2008. We went for a visit to the Nursing Home that takes care of Dad. He was doing pretty good that day.

These one were taken right before our home was completed in 2008. I picked Dad up from the Nursing Home, and brought him out to the house. We sat out on our front porch to visit. You can tell that Joseph just loves his Great Grandpa. He really likes to go with me to visit him. Sometimes he will tell me, "Nana, we need to go to the Nursing Home today." That makes me feel so good that he is so caring and has so much love for his Great Grandpa.

As of December 26th, yes, the day after Christmas, Dad was sent to the Hospital. The Nursing Home called that he had high fever and not responding. When Johnny, Joseph & I got to the ER the Doctor there said he had pnuemonia too. Well, it is January 4th (Sunday), 2009 and I am glad to report that Dad is doing alot better, talking to us, visiting with us and has not had fever since yesterday afternoon, as per his nurse that we talked to. Yes, today was a good day because he responded to me when I said, "Jak se mas?". That means "How are you?" in Czech. And when Joseph told Great Grandpa "Hello", Dad asked him, "Jak se mas?" and Joseph told him, "Dobje". Which means "good". But then the nurse told me that Dad will have another CT this evening, and this one will be of his abdomen. He had the 1st one was of his lungs (which showed no signs of .... anything bad). So we are hoping for the same report on this one.
