2011-Sep.17 OMG! Movie Date

MOVIE NIGHT!!??!! Oh WOW, I just can't believe it; Johnny and I taking Joseph and his "friend" to the movies.

It made me a little excited, and sad, too . . . for words, Joseph! he's only 13! She is so cute too.  They saw some movie, I think, it was called, "Shark Night", and probably too scary for me.  Emily likes scary movies.
I took Joseph to Emily's house and met her Mom. It's such a small world - I had been commenting on FB about "you know you're from Victoria when...." very nice people.  Growing up is hard, but who is it harder on? The kids or the parents? Toss Up!

2011-Mar.26 Opening Ceremonies For Baseball

Victoria Southwest Little League held opening ceremonies this morning. It started at 10 a.m. so no sleeping late for this chick, rats! I was so looking forward to staying in bed. Johnny worked last night (His last night for a while! Yeah!) He got home at 8 a.m. and I woke him up at 8:30 a.m. so that we could be in town on time. I hadn't walked so far at one time since before my surgery, and it seemed soooo far. Then I couldn't sit, then I couldn't stand, I just couldn't get comfortable. The Color Guard came on the field after all the teams were announced, and then Mrs. D (a mother of a player on Joseph's team) sang the National Anthem. She was Fantastic!! WoW! Johnny and I both had to tell her how great she was after the ceremonies were over.

After the ceremonies, we went to eat at DQ. Oh it was so good today. I had the crispy chicken strip salad, I had to have coffee, (since I hadn't had ANY yet today) and a large sweet tea. I thought I ate alot and Joseph said, "you're not through, you didn't even eat half." Oh well, I ate my fill, and Johnny ate the rest, which he didn't get anything but a malt, that was really a shake. We got home and I couldn't wait to get back in bed. I laid there 10-15 minutes and I had to get up, I just couldn't sleep, yuk!

2010-Dec.22 Early Christmas For . . . . .All of Us

Well, we were going to town this Wednesday, I mean, John Thomas, Joseph and I were going shopping. On the way to town, I opened my mouth and said, "Oh did you see that?" "What?" "That sign said - - AMERICAN BULLDOG PUPPIES FOR SALE

"Why did I open my mouth?" That's all I heard from then on while I was at any store. Well, This part is totally my mistake. I stopped on the way home. OMG! Can you guess what happened next? Yes, you guessed it. Joseph wore me, Uncle John, Dad down down down. I got home and then John Thomas back to get the one I was holding, the one that stole my heart.

Next, food. . . . everyone at Petsmart fell head over heels for him. Uncle John was holding him of course. I told him that was a "chick magnet". And Joseph was upset he couldn't hold him in that store. They came home with wet, and dry food to mix; a water/food bowl that holds a 2-liter bottle of water to dispense as needed.

Next, a name! Joseph voted for Meaty- yuk! I threw out. . . Elvis (0f course), Buddy, Hobo but none of these fit. . . . I laid him on a blanket (my Dallas cowboy blanket). . . DUH!!!! DALLAS. . .

Okay, everyone agreed. . . . DALLAS it is. . . . . .

okay, now to train him not to "GO" in my house, on my floor, Joseph, John...where are you? get your paper towels ready. . . and follow him everywhere, and I mean "EVERYWHERE". . .

and PA, please pick up more, alot more, swiffer wet.....and follow that puppy!!!!!

As soon as we got home, Joseph took him to the grass area....

Now, my time with . . . DALLAS! Isn't he just precious?!

Now he is soooo hungy!! He is chowing gown on Puppy Chow.

It is play time with Uncle John. . .

And the one that always said. . . NO NO NO !!!

Now he is saying. . . Bring me Dallas to Pa's lap!!

I think there will be so many more days with Dallas sitting on his Pa's lap. (hehehehe . . .we wore him down!! yeah! Thanks Pa!)

Our neighbors, Janet and Bobby, (He goes to school with Joseph too!) came over to see our new addition.

It almost made me want to go out there and sit on the pier - Almost. He looked like he needed some "alone time".
