Another Kinexing Weekend & Wind Chimes

KINEXING TIME

Joseph wanted to create something this weekend, so we pulled the Kinex boxes out. I have accumulated several for the "Grands". This time Josehp & Nana created a "swing" ride. It was fun. So, here is our "amusement park" ride. Joseph is turning the crank in the 2nd picture and there goes the swings. He was so much better at this than I was. But it's a fun "to-gether" project.

And now to show off just 2 of my many wind chimes. These are the best sounding of them all. Some are just cute, have stars, some are animals, and some are bamboo.

The 1st pic. is of the most beautiful sounding wind chimes that I have ever heard. The name of it is "Amazing Grace", you know, like the song. It is beautiful sounding. The tones of this chime is unbelievable, I can hear it in the house, it's like a beautiful echoing chime. Sometimes, I think I can hear a little of the hymn ringing out. I guess it's kind of hard to describe. I bought it here in town at "RINGS and THINGS". But, you can order them online from Woodstock Chimes. The second one is one that I did order online, that was before I knew "my favorite" store had them. It has a nice sound to it, but if you ever get a chance to hear "Amazing Grace" be do so. Well, of course, you can stop by & hear it 1st hand at our home.

Here are a few of my wind chimes that I have. These are cute, different, patriotic. But none come close to the beautiful sounds of the 1st two.

"Shadow" the bunny rabbit

I have some sad news, Joseph found "Shadow" (the rabbit) in his cage. . . dead. Another animal gone, we are not having good luck with keeping animals. But I think this one was because it has been just toooo hot. Poor little guy. And poor Joseph is the one to always find them. It gets so emotional about our pets. Well, we will try again, but not right away. We will need to give this some time. Well, on a happier note. . . . We had 9 deer - 3 babies & 6 doe: 2 of the babies are twins. They were there in the evening and then again the next morning. We have seen them even at mid-day coming to drink out of what is left of our lake. We have even bought a small pool for water, which they drink out of in the evening, when they come to feed.

I acquired the flower with Rock Ant in Refugio this past weekend

on our trip to Corpus. I wanted to stop again on the way home,

but they were closed on Sunday. I'll have to take another trip to

Refugio soon!

4th of July weekend is coming to an end!!

Sunday morning, Johnny & Bryan woke up "early"
& went fishing, when they got back we hit the road
to head on home.
But, of course, not before I snapped a "few" more shots.

"SomeOne!!" likes Mickey-AKA "HotDog" & Minnie too!

Joseph taught Jackson to do this,

He pulls his ears, and tilts his head from side to side. Silly!

Jackson says,

"Peek-A-Boo where's Jackson ?"

and then "BOO! Here I am."

Well, we're back home now. It was a long, fun weekend for us.

4th of July (again?) 2009

4th of July (again?) This time in Corpus

Saturday, we travelled to Corpus to visit Bryan and his family,
Krystyn and Jackson.
