CCCP They hauled ASH for us

Well, if winter ever comes and if RAIN ever comes, we don't want to be stuck in the mud. So on Friday, Johnny called and he got CCCP to deliver, well, they "hauled ash" for us. hehe.

They delivered it in 2 trips, in an 18-wheeler. I didn't realize they would bring it in an 18-wheeler and so much. But we will use it, that's for sure. And they brought it out so quickly too.

So today, that is what Johnny is doing. Spreading ash. It's gonna be so nice when he's finished. But at the same time, he is having fun. Playing on that equipment-I mean.

Thank you Tom & Annette for the use of your Kabota. Thank God, for great people, great friends. Johnny & Tom help each other out on big projects like this. In turn, Johnny will go over and help Tom when he gets his loads delivered. He wants to get CCCP to "haul ash" for him too! Or whatever project that he will need another hand on.

It is looking great so far, and he's not even through with 1 load. And just an FYI, if anyone wants any ash- 10 % off during the months of November & December.

Yeah! It's looking great.

Happy Birthday to . . .you - - - To Krystyn, our daughter-in-law, her birthday - November 7th. and to . . . you - - - To Jacquelyn, our granddaughter, her birthday - November 8th. Saturday. Should I tell their ages?.... well, I won't say who, but 1 is 25 & the other is 7. hehehe!!

Bryan took Krystyn to San Antonio -to the Spurs basketball game(sorry they lost). We kept Jackson while they went to the game for her birthday, they spent the night at a house up at Canyon Lake. Joseph & I watched Jackson overnight. Johnny went on a hunting weekend from Thursday thru Sunday.

I picked Jackson up from the daycare on Friday evening. He had fever, poor thing. I thought because he is cutting more teeth. I gave him tylenol & his other meds, he ate a little and went fast asleep. He woke up on Saturday just as happy as he could be. We played all morning until Bryan & Krystyn came back on Saturday. But he was sleeping when they got here, it was a pretty long nap. So they went home and about the time that Bryan went down for "his nap", I called them to say, "he's awake."
On Sunday, we gave Jacquelyn her birthday gifts. Of course, it was all Hanna Montana. The comforter, sheets set, a lamp, a cozy blanket, a hamper but I had to throw in some gloves and socks for winter/Christmas, and some Hanna Montana stickers too!
We hope you both had a Great Birthday!! We love you both!

Going, Going, Gone . . . .

The wrecker service came to pick up John's truck this evening. Why do these people always come when it's dark? Do they think that it's "cooler" for them to get the vehicles under the cover of darkness? It's not like we didn't know they were going to pick it up. And the dummy was going to try to drive in our 1st entrance with his wrecker. hehehehe! The insurance adjuster just didn't tell us when they would be here to pick it up. Well, I just hope John finds another vehicle really soon.

Well, John hurry up and find another vehicle, we're hoping it will be fuel efficient and able to withstand your driving habits.

And my Durango should be fixed tomorrow, hopefully I will be able to pick it up. Thanks again Alta for letting us use your vehicle. It was a lifesaver!!

Look what happens when a vehicle and a deer come in contact

Just ask John Thomas, he can tell you, he was very, very lucky. His truck is totalled and will be looking for something else to drive. It happened last week coming home from work. He called us - woke us up at 3 A.M. and we had to tow the truck home. That is not something that I enjoyed at all. I drove Johnny's truck and Johnny was in John's truck. John was pretty shaken up - very understandable - he ended up a few feet from a telephone pole. He has been using Johnny's Mazda. Then my Dodge overheated coming home on Friday, so Alta has let me use her car, Thank you very much, Alta. I dont know what we would have done. John's work depends on a vehicle, & I have to have something to go to work in too!

Any way, I am just so thankful that John is okay.

NO ELECTRICITY for Veterans Day

At about 1:00 this afternoon, Joseph & I are at home, with no "air"- help!!!!! I called electric company & they said several people had called from our area and they have someone coming out as we speak. It took about 45 minutes. Thank God, that the wind was blowing, so Joseph & I sat out on our front porch. Joseph read to me from a book of his - how enjoyable it was. Then, when the electricity came back on, Joseph & I watched some t.v. and I helped him fix a sign for his bedroom door -- "NO TRESPASSING"- but I told him that "surely that doesn't mean Nana". He really didn't answer me on that statement. hehe! But, just to let you know, I do knock, but that doesn't mean I wait very long for a "come in!" He has his door open most of the time anyway, unless someone comes in, then he may close his door. Also, he closes it when he "jams" on his guitar hero. He is really enjoying it.
