We went to Lowe's today and of course, Joseph found something he "just had to have." A bird feeder caught his eye, so it went home with us. He told me he wanted to paint it - - Camo - -.

Uncle John had bought some paints a while back, so we dug them out. Joseph took his "tools", (paints & brushes) and his bird feeder & his thoughts of how he wanted it to look, outside to a table we use to do our outside projects on.
It didn't take him long at all and he was done.
I think it is a really great bird feeder !!
He is proud of his work and I am proud of him! ALWAYS!

Benjamin S. Motal -12-26-1922 to 1-26-09

BENJAMIN S. MOTAL CONROE - Benjamin S. Motal, 86, of Conroe, passed away on Jan. 26, 2009. He was born Dec. 26, 1922 to the late Adolph and Konstantina Kocian Motal. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II in the Pacific. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. today, Jan. 29, 2009, with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home in Moulton. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moulton with the Rev. Gabriel Maison officiating with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Praha. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers - George, Theo, Jaroslav.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda and a son, Robert along with grandchildren and great a grandchild. Also survived by 2 brothers, Adolf and I.J. (John) and a sister Lydia.
And also by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Busy Friday Jan 23

DRIVEWAY gets poured, POLES get removed,

TREES get planted & Joseph has more room to skateboard

We had a busy Friday, January 23rd. Contractors came out and poured our carport.

While they were setting up the forms, getting the re-bar, and waiting for the cement trucks, I noticed electric workers next door at the neighbors. So we (well, not really we, more like Johnny) "ran over" and asked the workers if they could come over and finish up some work at our place. The electric company needed to dig up a utility pole and disconnect some old lines that had been here when Jack had a trailer out here. They were so great and came right over with 3 trucks and pulled that pole right out of the ground, disconnected the wires from the pole and cleaned up and were gone. Thank you electric workers.

1 more thing to cross off of our list of "To Do Things". Yeah!!

Then, while contractors were waiting on cement trucks, I turned around and Johnny had gone over to the guy and asked him to use his back hoe. Surprising enough, he said yes. So Johnny got busy digging holes for those oak trees we bought. So they are now planted, well, almost all, we have 4 to plant yet. So we can only cross that one 1/2 way off of our list.

Yeah ! Our driveway to park our cars and we won't get stuck in the mud.

Well, if it ever rains.... hehe!

I really love the driveway, but Joseph REALLY likes it

Joseph brought home another great report card.

He is on the A-B honor roll and

also has perfect attendance. He is enjoying his school and

things are really going well. Joseph also has received a

"Caught you being good" award. We are so proud of him.

Joseph likes to wear his t-shirt from Alaska. Johnny got a t-shirt too!
(but now it's mine-it "shrunk" hehe) and I got a 3-D Mama Bear with Baby Bear-light up glass "desk paper weight". The light changes from blue to red to lavender. I love it.

She went on a cruise to Alaska in September 2008 - a dream of hers. She went with her daughter, Patricia. Johnny wanted to go - he even went as far as getting his passport - but he decided not to. He doesn't like to be away too long and well, I am soooo glad he didn't go because it was at the same time that the hurricane came into the Gulf, but we were so lucky that it turned and went in north of us. (but we are sorry for others misfortune though). Anyway, Johnny will get to go to Alaska one day. But we won't go on a cruise. My mother-in-law was not very impressed with the cruise. We want to see Alaska, so we will go another mode of transportation, someday.
