Jacksons walking now

Jackson has taken off walking and there's no stopping him now!
He's been walking for a while now and Joseph & Jacquelyn love to sit, run and play with him. He also loves to play on MY Player Piano that Johnny surprised me with on my Birthday.
The piano is so loud when we turn it on. You can be on our fishing pier and hear it. I got "like a million" rolls for it too. But found that on the internet, you can get "Elvis", Kenny G, Van Morrison, Beatles rolls -just to name a few-for the piano too. I can't wait to get them. hint,hint!

2008-Oct.04 Grands Stepping Stones

Joseph, Jacquelyn, Jackson little fingers, little hands forever!!

Each of the kids put their hands print in stone for Nana & Pa. Jacquelyn and Joseph each created their stone, but Jackson needed just a bit of help to create his. We had a great time --I mean the kids --had a great time creating their stone. And now Nana & Pa can see their little hands anytime when sitting on the front porch. Thanks kids for giving me your handprints to keep forever and ever!!

Joseph's 10th B.D. 10/6/08 Monday

Joseph's B.D. list is not too long this year. It is as follows:

1. Guitar Hero
2. Planet & Star lamp
3. Guinea pig
4. & wants some cows so that his Nana & Pa can get "Agriculture Exemption" -

he is tooo funny!!

We're not having a party this year. His school is having their festival on Sat. Oct 4th, so we will take him to have fun and support his school. Then on Sunday for his Birthday, we are taking him to Corpus Christi to the Tx State Aquarium. We are all looking forward to that, but I am not exactly feeling great. I am fighting sinus drainage, and it is wearing me down. But we are going to the Aquarium. I promised him.

He has been after me to tell him what his gifts are.

"Gifts!? You're getting gifts?"

"Nana, you have to go to the store to get my gifts."

And I finally had to tell him that I have had them -

"And they've been here all along and you haven't even seen them."

He couldn't believe it. "Where are they?"

"I'm not telling!!".... But I can't wait to give them to him, I am just as excited to give them to him as he will be to get them.

Joseph got a Birthday Cheesecake with all the candles.
And also took a Birthday Cookie to school to share with his classmates.

New School for Joseph

Joseph started his 4th grade year at Mission Valley School. He is really enjoying it and likes his teacher. Her name is Ms. Troell. She is wonderful and it is a good fit - a strong teacher and a student that likes to talk. So she is trying to steer him in the right direction. I took him to school for the 1st few days, BUT now he is riding the bus to school. He has always wanted to ride the bus to school. They pick him up at our driveway between 6:50 am - 7 am, they get to school and he goes to the cafeteria to wait for the bell to ring. They start school at about 7:15 am & they like students in their room at 7:30 am. School gets out of school at 2:50 pm. He has already brought home a progress report and has done GREAT in all his subjects. But, of course, I tell him to keep trying harder in all he does.
