2011-Jan.20 A Sad Day for a Get-ToGether

Monday, January 17, 2011, Caryn's Dad passed away. So she flew in to Victoria to be with her family. Jason, Frances, and Morgan drove in after Jason got out of work on Wednesday. They drove all the way through, only stopping for necessities. They got to Victoria around 6:00 pm, Thursday and drove directly to the funeral home. Family and friends were gathered for a visitation. I went right after work. Thursday will be a rosary and then a funeral mass at Holy Family at 1:15 pm. So I got to visit with Frances, Jason, Caryn, Morgan. Oh MY! Today is Morgan's Birthday, he is "10" and he told everyone that "I am in the double digits now!"

Not sure what he was doing, but He wanted another picture for his Dad's F.B. The one that is on there is one that I sent Jason and it is of Morgan "Chewing" on a doggie meat bone. hehe! I think it's funny, but when Morgan found that out, he didn't like that idea and said, "I never did that!" Umm, hon, sorry to tell ya, but you did!

These pictures are taken with my cell phone. Actually, one of the first times I used my camera on the phone, so I wasn't actually sure how this would work. Eric and Natalie sets this get-together up - so a big "Thanks" to them. We met at Montana Mike's SteakHouse Restaurant. It was a surprise to Frances. In 2 days she will be heading to Arizona to stay with Jason & Caryn & Morgan (her son/daughter-in-law/grandson). She is driving there with Dorothy (Caryn's Mom) and then Dorothy will fly home later. I'm sure this will be a very good move for Frances, even though she will missed here, especially, Eric and Natalie. Miss You!

I am, well I should say, WE all were so happy that Jason, Caryn, and Morgan came to Texas for a visit this December, 2008. They drove all the way from Phoenix, Arizona. Visits go by way too fast, Don't they!? Before you know it, it's time to go back home, and get back to our every day lives. Frances invited everyone out to the house on New Years Day to visit. Eric & Natalie made spaghetti, Frances made a few of her great dishes too!! And oh my, I can't forget that special bottle of Rum that Jason made. It was great. Thanks Jason!! for giving us a bottle too. But how long does just 1 last??? Remember us the next time you make it again.
Joseph had a great time playing with Morgan too! They got along pretty good for not seeing each other for quite a few years. They got re-acquainted pretty fast. Fast enough to share their Christmas loot with each other.
