2011-Jan.20 A Sad Day for a Get-ToGether
Monday, January 17, 2011, Caryn's Dad passed away. So she flew in to Victoria to be with her family. Jason, Frances, and Morgan drove in after Jason got out of work on Wednesday. They drove all the way through, only stopping for necessities. They got to Victoria around 6:00 pm, Thursday and drove directly to the funeral home. Family and friends were gathered for a visitation. I went right after work. Thursday will be a rosary and then a funeral mass at Holy Family at 1:15 pm. So I got to visit with Frances, Jason, Caryn, Morgan. Oh MY! Today is Morgan's Birthday, he is "10" and he told everyone that "I am in the double digits now!"
Jason with Morgan

Not sure what he was doing, but He wanted another picture for his Dad's F.B. The one that is on there is one that I sent Jason and it is of Morgan "Chewing" on a doggie meat bone. hehe! I think it's funny, but when Morgan found that out, he didn't like that idea and said, "I never did that!" Umm, hon, sorry to tell ya, but you did!

2011-Jan.17 Christmas Is Still in the Air Along with A Long & Wonderful Weekend
Johnny and I had 2 wonderful guests on Saturday, and we were so glad to have them come to our home for a visit. We had a really great visit and even went into town to eat at the new restaurant- BaySide Seafood, that was good too! I was so glad Carrie and Chris came over and I can not wait until their next visit. I was sad to see them go, but I know, in my heart, I will see them again soon. Thanks again for visiting and the beautiful necklace with the November Birthstone.
On Monday, Joseph and I had a day off today from school and work. Joseph had been with Branson at his mom's house since Friday night. I picked him up Sunday afternoon and Branson came home with us since his mom has to work today. When we finally all got up we went into town and has Niki Roma's Pizza for lunch and walked around the Mall a little while. Branson was so ready to go home, and I thought I was the only one that wanted to just stay at home. I am so content to stay in my own little world. But before we left, I stopped into Things Remembered and looked what I found.
MY BUTTERFLIES . . . . .
AND.... It is also a music box, my favorite things... music boxes, water globes and I really love dragonflies, but these butterflies now hold a special place in my heart. It plays "Santa Lucia". So pretty.

2011-Jan.16 Sunday Christmas Decorations Can Come Down Now
Okay- It's Official - Christmas is over, I know that for alot of people Christmas decorations came down that same weekend. They're in such a rush. Not enjoying life and the people around them most. My Christmas wasn't over until yesterday, Saturday, January 15th, when I had a very special person come to see me. I guess for him you could say, to meet me. I met him once, it was a very long time ago. He was so beautiful then and he is still so handsome. You know the saying, "You don't know what you have until it's gone." Man! I never felt that more than I did Saturday. His name was Christopher. He is still Christopher, but he goes by Chris. He came to meet me and get to know me. WOW! He is wonderful. Chris and his wife, Carrie came over for a visit with me and Johnny, on Saturday, January 15th. We visited all day and then went to dinner in town at Bayside Restaurant, the newest seafood eatery. It was good.
Things are so different now, it's just unbelievable. I never thought that some of the things that were "swept under the rug" or "kept locked in the closet" would be so open and accepting now. What a difference a few years makes. But I can't change the decisions I made OR had to make, all I can do now is count my blessings. And I do every single day.
AND NOW. . . . .
And the most beautiful girls that I have seen since Jacquelyn!! but I guess I'm a little partial!!
And now that my Christmas is SO complete, I can take the decorations down until Christmas comes around again. Thank you God for all I have and Everyone in my life,
It truly is . . . . . . . . .
"It's A Wonderful Life". . . . .
