2011-Feb.04 Ready, Set. . . . NO SNOW HERE!!

At least KIWI is enjoying the day, Johnny gave him an apple and he chewed on it and then left it alone. Then Johnny gave him a red grape and he "went town with it. He really liked it and finished every bit of it.

This is what I woke up to. The pasture is icey, BUT NO SNOW, that is just not fair. They said, those meteorologists need to go back to class.

But Mr. Squirrel is having the "fun" I was supposed to have had-rats!! He was in the front yard. I am not sure what he found, but he was really gettin' something.

Too cute! I love watching the wildlife out here! But today was from "inside" and not on my front porch as usual.

2010-Jan.09 Ice Day

Brrrr! It was really cold this Saturday morning when we woke up.
Johnny brought this piece of ice in from the spill over at the lake.
It's supposed to be cold again this evening, we might wake up Monday
morning with ice again.

2009-Dec.05 Wonderful Ice Morning! Cutting Our Special Tree

Oh my, This is the most beautiful morning ever. Thank you God!

Johnny, Joseph, & I drove up to Luling to a Christmas Tree farm. We have never cut our own tree before, so this is so exciting. There were so many trees to pick from. But Joseph decided on one.

As we were walking through the trees, I was startled by this cute little "wascally, wabbit".

Johnny & Joseph are cutting our special tree for Christmas.

is was so exciting - cutting the tree to be placed in our home.

The guys picked it up in their cart, to take it up to the front.

But first, they put it on the "shaker", to get rid of all the excess needles.

And then it goes to the bin to pass through a wire netting

Wow! how many people does it take to pull that tree out the other end?

whew! it's done and now the guys load it on top of the truck.

And we're on our way.

Now to set it up in our house and get it decorated for Christmas.

Ta Dah!
