2010-Jun.25 FUN FRIDAY FROLICS

Here a few pictures that I have taken this week. Well, actually today - Enjoy!

I have always liked taking pictures, mostly of our children, their hobbies, sports, school. These days I am taking pictures of our "Grands". But, once in a while, I see things and when I look at them, I just feel like taking a picture of it, well, I have albums and albums. I have an album for almost every year of our wonderful 33 (almost) years together. That is alot of albums-right?!

I saw this set of "barns"/storage buildings the other day and thought they look so neat all in a row. I was not very welcome doing this, someone drove up behind me until I left - I wasn't trespassing or anything, but they didn't like me being there. Oh well, whatever!

Then coming home from baseball practice with Joseph, we saw these birds sitting in this dead tree. I didn't have my camera with me, so I drove home, grabbed my camera, drove back to this dead tree with these blackbirds roosting for the night. I like their silhouettes against the sky.







I also like to find pictures of animals and different objects in the Clouds. This is something the sisters and I did while driving home from our Grandparents every weekend (we saw them almost every weekend - one set in Schulenburg and the other set in Moulton). So on our way home, we amused ourselves with these games. (We didn't have portable dvd players, ipods, mp3s, PS2 players, etc. like the kids do today. We invented our own games - with Our Imaginations! Imagine that! No electronics, just our minds. Try that kids of 2010.) I'm not sure they can do this kind of game these days.

Oooh! see below - Joseph & I got these Sno-Cones on the way home from baseball practice. He was so hot from his practice at the "batting" cages. And I was hot from sitting in the car, hardly no breeze and I didn't want to "run" the truck for 2 hours, and besides, I needed to clean out my center console - so much trash.

2010-Jun.24 Hmm!

Johnny was perusing the computer tonight instead of watching another one of my favorite t.v. shows- Criminal Minds. He was showing me these pictures of well, anything. He entered bull-sh*t and all sorts of pictures came up. He entered cats, and more pictures of cats and anything containing the word- - - - -"c-a-t" in it. Each time he would say, "Hey come look at this." "Come look at this picture." Then after a while, I would just walk over not really look and say "okay."
Then, finally he said, "Hey, this looks like you, come see." "What? Me? In a picture on the internet." I walked over to look and this is what I saw - Johnny is so funny- haha!



He said, "See, I told you, this is you and your Sudoku Book." Too Funny - hehe! haha!
I don't think I look quite like this, my pillow is usually propped up a little more, Johnny!

2010-Jun.23 Schlitterbahn WaterPark

John Thomas, Joseph, Letti (John's friend) and her 9 yr.old son are going to Schlitterbahn this morning. I hope he keeps that sun screen on Joseph. I was telling John & Joseph all my "Rules", you know-do's and don'ts- as far as don't leave Joseph alone - on his own- and walk off-even for a second. Too many things can happen in that second. Well, Joseph then asked me, " So I guess I am 4 years old again?" and I told him, "Well, I guess so!" Have fun and be careful. Not sure if they are taking pictures, well see!

Nope, no pictures and they didn't get home until around 11 pm. Well, we were asleep when they got home, so really not sure.

The next day though, Joseph said he had a great time with his Uncle John. Thank you to

Uncle John and his friend Letti (which by the way, was Joseph's kindergarten assistant to the teacher, at F.W. Gross).

Happy Father's Day to Bryan (our Son) and to our son-in-law-Joe. It's great being a Dad, right!?! Bryan has 2 boys - Jackson and Parker. Joe has 2 boys and 2 girls - Joe, Damien, Selena and Jacquelyn, and also is a grandfather. So both these guys stay busy with children. Just something to remember, you will always and forever be a Dad. It's a great Profession to be in. So many events to be involved in, to help with, to remember for life, always and for ever. Soak it all in, these memories will get you through the tough times. You know, middle school, when all the hormones start raging and they want to be in with the "cool" kids, and when they tell you that you don't know what you're talking about, that you're old fashioned ( and yes they will tell you that!) and even when they say "they hate you". Remember the loving times and try to be patient. Even when it's so hard you think you are gonna explode.

Love them always, keep them close when they let you, and keep your memories close.

Happy Father's - huh, I mean, Happy GrandFather's Day Too!

For all you do for us, Thank you!! and that is alot. He is always there to help anyone - helping kids mowing their grass, moving from 1 place to another to another to another, to delivering appliances to their house(even out of town), to pulling a vehicle out of the ditch in the middle of the night, to building fences with a friend, killing a rather large snake hanging in a tree (a 6- footer) for a neighbor, to making Me coffee on Father's Day, even when my coffee pot has gone on the "fritz" and he has to make it by hand in the microwave and strain the hot water through the coffee grinds, doing anything someone would ask of him, - he is the one to call. He is always around to lend a hand - to anyone that asks- or even if they look like they need help. Like someone on the side of the road, especially when it is someone that looks like they can not help themselves. Too many "helping hand" projects that he has helped with for anyone and everyone.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR US! You're Fantastic.

Happy Father's Dad! Dad was always there when I needed him. to help at any time we would call, or be there when I had a problem. He was a very hard worker at "Texas Iron Works" in Victoria, Corpus and then Houston (where he retired). He loved singing with his Czech Singing Group, enjoyed selling SPJST insurance and being involved in the local organization. He was also involved with KJT and the Knights of Columbus. He even drove Hot Shot after his "regular" job. He always talked of his youth, growing up was hard on the farm - you know, working all hours, then "walking to school, in the snow, up hill - both ways, no shoes or very worn shoes". He talked of his heritage - My heritage. Man, I wish I would have listened better and remember all the stories he told of great-greats!


Thanks Dad for all you taught me through the years. I love you!
