BBQ Cook-Off at Lu Raq's
Johnny and his friend, Tom entered the BBQ cook off at Lu Raq's for Cinco de Mayo celebration!
They entered ribs, fajitas, chicken and brisket. They aren't professionals at this and actually, this was Johnny's 1st time entering a cookoff. Tom has done a cookoff before, awhile back.
Well, SWEET VICTORY to them!! They won 1st place with their brisket.
And it was a sweet victory for them because several of their competitors came by their area, and snickered at them and said, "We can't believe y'all think you may even have a chance with that set-up of yours." Well, I hope those guys are having trouble swallowing those words tonight.
Doesn't matter what kind of pit and accessories you have, it's how you BBQ and what you put on your meat, like sauces, spices, etc.
They both had fun at the cook-off and came away with a few bucks.
