Tx State Aquarium trip for Joseph Oct 11th

We did get to take the trip to Corpus to the TX State Aquarium. It was really great weather... for me anyway, I don't like be outside when it's too hot. Joseph had a great time. He saw the huge turtles, got to touch a stingray, got splashed by the dolphins, picked up some urchins.

It did drizzle on the way home, but wasn't too bad. We had a great time and Joseph really enjoyed it - he had wanted to go for a couple of weeks, so he was anxious, excited about the trip to the aquarium. We stopped in Refugio at the DQ and Joseph got a dipped cone, and I tried the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard - - OH MY GOSH!! it was sooo good. yummy, yummy

Wildlife at the Feeders & Our Big Bow Hunter

Johnny had put out corn on the left side of the house (by John's window) hanging off 1 of the trees. Around noon today we noticed a squirrel at the corn. So I camped out for a little while watching through the window. Mr. Squirrel was really going after that ear of corn. Until another squirrel came along and started a "fight" over who was gonna get the corn 1st.

Then this evening, I walked out on the front porch and "froze" when I saw this buck by the deer feeder.

and Johnny on the right side of the house "sweeping" out the back of his truck.

The buck walked off the same way he came up to the feeder. But not before I snapped a couple of pictures. Then, to our surprise, he came back out about 10 minutes later. He really wanted that "rotten pumpkin" that we had to throw out already. He sniffed around for a while, then walked around our lake to our neighbor's feeder. Johnny called him to alert him, and he was already sitting on his front porch. He had seen 2 bucks this morning.

I just love living out here!

Nana & Pa Takes a trip to the Pumpkin Patch: October 18, 2008

We had the best time at the Pumpkin Patch on Bridge Street. We had such great weather for the outing, and oh my gosh! we bought a loaf of pumpkin bread - It was gone in no time - even Jackson liked it. He probably would have eaten more, but Joseph and Pa took a huge handful, and Poof!! it was gone. Yum! Yum! Face painting, tic tac toe, jumpy thing,

Pictures as a scarecrow, on the turkey, surrounded by pumpkins, with Nana. Many pictures to take for some great memories. We had a great day. Kendra & Joe met us at the pumpkin patch too ! The church had an arts & crafts show going on also. So there was alot going on there.

Jacquelyn got her face painted with a butterfly, and Joseph wanted a Longhorn of course! but the girl that was painting the faces... well, she did try but, well you have to see for yourself. Okay, I know, I shouldn't be laughing, but, well...you decide. What does it look like to you?

A Longhorn? A pumpkin with ears? An orange rabbit? Too Funny- right!?!
