2009-Oct.25-31 Happenings for the week

Sunday, Oct 25th Johnny, Joseph & I drove to CC to see Bryan & his family.

Well, Parker is now almost 1 month old and we needed to see him. I was having

withdrawals from those boys- both of them. Okay, Bryan and Krystyn too-haha!

Joseph likes seeing his cousins too! Jackson dressed up for us in his Halloween costume. I found this at Kohl's and then added the little heart on it. Nana laying with Parker on his blanket that I made for him and brought to the hospital when he was born. He also got a little Halloween costume - found that one at Kohl's too. It has a little pumpkin on the bottom. Too cute.

Before we left, Bryan & Krystyn took us to a church not far from their apartment. They had some really cute Halloween set ups inside their hall. Jackson had fun with the scarecrow-wanting to give him kisses- too cute!!

Tuesday, Oct 27th Trouble with my arm, so now I go a doctor for a steriod shot. It wasn't too bad, but would have rather not had to have one. If it helps, it will be worth it.

That evening we came back to town to eat at

Montana Mikes for Frances going-away party;

It was a surprise to her.

She is leaving for Arizona. And will be staying with Jason, Caryn, and Morgan. She driving over with Caryn's mom and then Dorothy will fly back home.
Eric & Natalie got us together. Thanks for that guys.
Everyone had a good time getting together, good food too!

Wed, Oct 28th Joseph had CCD at O.L.V. school,

John brings Joseph into town for me and then we

drove over to church and went to Mass before CCD;

Johnny gets in to town around the time CCD starts,

so we meet for a quick dinner somewhere.

Friday, Oct 30th went to eat at Tokoyo Grill;OMG - it's the greatest! You've got to go to the Hibachi grill though! The chefs prepare your food right in front of you! I love those noodles!

Bryan & Family Moving to Corpus

Moving Day! is here, and I am not ready for this at all. But it happened and I have to find a way to deal with it.

On our way to Corpus, between Victoria & Refugio, the heavens opened up.

Why? is it, of course, it rains when you really wish it wouldn't. So their things got "a little" wet, shall we say.
Bryan and his family moving to CC, TX. Joseph rode in a truck with Bryan, Krystyn followed in their SUV with Jackson, and Johnny & I were in another truck pulling a trailer.

Maybe you could say, it sort of reminded me of The Beverly Hillbillies, & I say that in a very affectionate way. I don't mean anything bad by that. It just struck me little funny.
WE, I really mean Johnny & Bryan, worked hard loading in Victoria.

Then in Corpus, Krystyn's dad met us at their apartment to help us unload them. And while we were waiting for Bryan & Krystyn to sign apt. papers. . . . . . . well, hmmm. . . looks like, ummm...

Jackson walked the "Grandpas" around a little to keep "them" occupied. Thank you, Jackson.

Then unloading in Corpus, I did help there & Joseph too! walking up & down, & up & down those stairs, sweating like pigs. The weather was great while we were unloading.

The rain stayed away while we unloaded & not until driving away from their apt that the clouds opened up and the rain poured out of the sky.

Jackson is relaxing on his window sill in his room. I helped Jackson put his "Hotdog" adhesives on his window. "Hotdog" is what he calls Mickey Mouse.

Joseph helped us tremendously with taking boxes up to the apt. and for his reward Bryan took him down to the pool so he could swim a little and play in the water. It's really nice around the pool, so Jackson & I relaxed a little too. We walked down to sit by the pool and try to recover from carrying ALL those boxes up a flight of stairs to their 2nd floor apt.

On the way back home, I drove 1 of the trucks following Johnny in the truck with a trailer. I could barely see him, I could barely see the lane in which to drive in. The rain came down so hard that it was hard to tell where the white lines were. When we got to Refugio, Johnny stopped in a parking lot and had a "revelation". He was able to load the truck that I was driving up on trailer that he was pulling, so I wouldn't have to drive the rest of the way. I was getting so sleepy. I was so happy that I didn't have to drive any longer. Jackson came home with us and did so great on the way home. Joseph was a great help with Jackson too. He talked with him, & kept him occupied in the truck.

Well, I wanted to remember this move and wanted Bryan & Krystyn to remember this move too. So look below for this remembrance photo.

OH, I wanted to show you the picture that I had a chance to snap of the truck that Bryan was driving to CC, so that they will always remember this move.

Jackson came home with us that Saturday night. He slept good at Nana & Pa's house, like he always does.

The next day he was swinging,

and then Pa was swinging him

Then Jackson played "Pat-A-Cake" with Pa

and . . . . he played with trains

and he rode the 4-wheeler

AND, Wow! we even had time for a wrestling match between Jackson & Joseph. Hmmm! Can you tell who won that round!?!?!

Bryan & Krystyn came in on Sunday. Bryan had to work 1 last week in Victoria before starting in Corpus. So they all stayed in Victoria & went home to Corpus over the weekend.

He will start work on Tuesday, May 26th after Memorial Day weekend.
